Thank you very much for your interest in CAFA ART INFO. Presently we are still working around the clock to make improvements in content, design and service.
It’s very exciting that artist Xu Bing has presented our logo in his Square Word Calligraphy which is a form of writing designed by him that appears Chinese, but is actually English. When confronting this “English language Chinese Calligraphy” the audience gains from an experience never previously felt. In 1999, Xu Bing received the MacArthur Fellowship. His work embodies the artist’s perspective on the connections between art, society and cultures. Currently he serves as the Vice President of the Central Academy of Fine Arts.

Seems like a great place for info and news, except that I can’t, for the life of me, find some information that should be very easy to find.
I know there is a CAFA student exhibition opening today but I can’t find any details (time, location, etc.) Seeing as this is a CAFA site, perhaps you could make it a little easier to find CAFA related info?

Thanks for your compliment and suggestion. There’s going to be The Graduation Exhibition of MA from CAFA opening at 3:00pm this afternoon, which is going to be held from April 28th through May 13th at the Art Museum of Central Academy of Fine Arts(near the Eastern Gate of CAFA). I’ll try my best to improve our updated information related to CAFA and made it easier for you to find. Sorry for the inconvience and glad you found us.

Since I first saw pictures of Hong Ling’s paintings online I have been trying to find out whether anyone sells them as art prints or posters. Can you recommend anything?

Maybe you can contact Soka Art Center for further information of his paintings.

Hi, thanks for all the info and news. I’m thinking about applying to CAFA next year, but I’m a little bit confused about the majors. I’d like to know if there is Graphic Design or something related to Digital Art, or digital illustration as majors? I only found something about “New Media” or “Digital Media” on its website, but I don’t know if that’s the type of field I’m referring to. I am heavily attracted by some artists, especially Old Xian, someone I’ve been following for years. As far as I know she’s a graduate from CAFA, but her specialty isn’t clear to me, nor I’ve found it on the internet. It is really important for me to know, as I’m completely sure that’s the field I want to study. I’d like to be sure I’m applying to the right thing. Thanks in advance.
