With more than 30 works spanning nearly 25 years, this exhibition provides a extensive overview of Jim Campbell's work, making visible the threads that connect together his artistic achievements during an exceptionally prolific and coherent career.
The exhibition showcases eighteen works by fourteen Chinese artists, and it will remain on view till 28th September.
The 2014 edition will present 58 works by 65 artists and artistic collectives from 22 countries. Most of the works in the exhibition will be shown in China for the first time.
It reviews and summarises the creations by artist Zhang Xiaotao from 2009-2014, the process of his works shifted from painting to multi media in video, installation, animation, performance which fully presents the creation and thinking of Zhang Xiaotao.
For the exhibition, Zhang Xiaotao uses and processes multi-media visual elements to set a series of visual tension, and the tension is not only reflected in a natural object and scene, but also to place the whole atmosphere in a saturated horizon on the mirror of life...
Categories of the works include painting, sculpture, installation, performance, video, photography, etc.
In recent years, there has also been a breakthrough in new media in experimental art. But, the current new media art still lacks an institution and system, and theoretical articles on Chinese new media are too few.
It presents artworks created by a new generation of Taiwanese artists who have become recognised for their innovation across a range of creative media.
